ADMISSION and FEES

Moving into a care home is a big decision and it is very important to have as much information as possible to help with this. Bernadette Howley our Head of Care and our home managers are available to discuss the various options available and to assist prospective residents to decide whether it might be the right place for them. In the first instance, this usually involves a visit to the home to see the lifestyle at first hand.

Following this we would be pleased to arrange for a visit to the prospective resident in their home or in hospital and then to produce a written proposal as to how the resident's needs could be met. This will also include the type of room and level of care required. This is without obligation and provides the resident with the fullest possible range of information on which to make a decision. Our fees range from £430 to £450 depending on the type of room and level of care.

Fees is a complex area. There are typically 2 types of resident the privately funded and those funded by the local council/ social services. Your level of savings and ability to pay fees will dictate what kind of funding you require. Our homes are usually split about 50/50 between privately funded and local council funded residents. There are numerous websites offering advice and your local council website is usually very helpful as are their in house support teams. If you find this complicated we are happy to try and help your understanding as we have been doing this for many years.

If the client decides to move in with us, then Berni and her team will co-ordinate all the arrangements and necessary paperwork to enable a stress free move into their new home.

Please come and visit us, meet the team and have a look at our homes. We can help you understand about residential care and dementia and the
limitations it brings and why full time professional care is best for everyone and we can help you through the minefield of funding.
