BANKFIELD, GIGG LANE, BURY
Narly no time SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT -
DAYS
40 hours per week on a rota basis (to
include some weekends)
Job Purpose
The role of a senior staff member is to
ensure a high level of care is carried out at all times by Care Assistants.
Also supervision of their team members through monthly staff meetings,
evaluating training needs and recognising input required.
Responsibilities
- Dealing with residents in a
professional and helpful manner and dealing objectively with any
complaints.
- Accompanying District Nurses / G.P’s or
any other professionals, treating with medication as required.
- Checking the care plan with their team is
up-to-date and correct.
- Ensuring hospital appointments are
booked and if an escort is required the staff are aware of this.
- Ensuring all rotas are completed, food
orders are completed on their given day, medication is ordered and any
other requirement for the smooth running of the home.
- Health & Safety around the home;
ensuring staff training and awareness.
- Awareness of all care procedures and
Commission Standards.
Qualifications
The successful applicant must have a minimum
of five years experience and be trained to NVQ Level 2. NVQ Level 3 would
be preferred but training can be provided.
PART TIME NIGHT CARE
ASSISTANT
3/4 nights per week, on a rota basis (to
include some weekends)
Job Purpose
To work as a team member to ensure the
highest standard of care is provided to our residents within a safe
environment.
Responsibilities
- To ensure a good standard of care is provided, which will
meet the physical and emotional needs of individual residents.
- To assist at meal times and monitor residents.
- To report any changes in the residents general condition
to the person in charge.
- To establish and maintain a good working relationships
with all other staff members, residents, visitors and other professional
bodies.
- To maintain confidentiality.
