Bankfield has a long and noted history as one of the oldest properties in Bury, the original building dated back to the 18th Century. In 1987 Bankfield was purchased by its present owners Mr & Mrs Hopkins. It is situated off Manchester Road, Bury; making it close to Bury town centre, local bus routes and Junction 3 of the M66.
The
home provides a high standard of care to meet the needs of 47 people of
retirement age. The home can
accommodate both men and women.

Bankfield
boasts three relaxing lounges in various sizes which allows residents
to access each others company in large or small groups, depending on personal
preferences.
We
also offer three conservatories again of various sizes. . The conservatories
overlook the south facing ornamental garden, enjoying the views of the fountain,
patio area, walkways and borders.
We
also offer one dining area although there is always an option for our residents
to take their meals to their own room.
We
also host a library area, where large print books are available.
We
offer a choice of bedrooms with 22 being en-suite and 3 double rooms. All of which meet the new required standards
Some
of the en-suite rooms have French windows that lead to the garden area.
All
our rooms have lockable doors, dressing tables with locking drawers, .T.V.
and
telephone points and Nurse on call facilities.
We can offer three assisted and three unassisted bathrooms for the more independent residents and 2 shower rooms which meet the new required standards.
A
full laundry and ironing service is provided and there is a smoking area for residents
and their family.
The premises have a regularly maintained fire alarm system.
